One Piece and Fairy Tail both had over a year break in releases before resuming again. I think it's because they're long-running anime ongoing anime.
I think the reason is because the japanese version is that far ahead of the english version. I think they might pick it up after the anime ends in Japan. However if they don't pick it up this year, i then i think it's safe to assume they dropped it
You're gonna have to ask them at a con or something about their plans.
Like I said before it's a re-release, but if you want the dub to continue, support it by buying a copy. The collections were able to save the One Piece dub when they took a break. It's relatively cheap so buy it, especially if you haven't got the original release.
Last year FUNimation said they wanted it to sel better before they license more episodes.
If these collections don't sell well then the dub will probably get cancelled, so if you're a dub fan get em.
I enjoy both the Japanese and the Dubbed version, but I prefer the Dubbed because I just adore Toriko's voice. Big Texan sounding guy with a HUGE appetite! Also, the dubbed version has a bit more comedic lines in the show than the Japanese anime.
For example: When Yun (the Baby Wall penguin) shows up, Toriko mentions how angry the parents are going to be if they find the baby wall penguin with them. "They're going to think you kidnapped their kid. It'll be HILARIOUS!"
Toriko: "The little pink dude's taken a real shine to you. You've made a friend for life."
Komatsu: "But, what'll happen if his parents show up?"
i wonder if anyone could do a crowd funded thing for the english dubbs like a kick starter. i would deff put money twards that for sure. they should do that for all of the animes that we have been waiting forever and a half to get the english dubbed episodes or get more english dubbed episodes. come on Toi let the dubs happen cant you see all the fans are dieing for it to happen.
look people if your gonna dub the first 52 episodes, don't be an arse and skip episode 1 and 51 simply because they are crossovers. and if your going to suddenly stop dubbing it at least finish the arc you started! seriously the episode 52 (or going by their incredibly horrible idea of skipping episodes 1 and 51 making it episode 50) is the start of an arc, an admitably small arc but an arc all the same, put effort in to finishing the damnabled arc before stopping your dub, makes you look bad when you don't manage to finish these things.

Licensing crossovers is a totally different beast in comparison to licensing just regular episodes (especially when it comes to dubs). I don't know of any crossovers that have been dubbed (let alone get licensed). And funimation didn't just stop dubbing Toriko at a random numbered episodes. They simply just dubbed the episodes they licensed. Obviously they're not gonna pay to license just a handful more episodes, when the contract is most likely around 50 episodes.
ppl who CANT watch dubbed cuz of how japanese sounds, sounds like a group of squirrels, tho thats my friends interpretation, im fine watching subbed and dubbed, they both have better dialogue sometimes, i love watching one piece so does he but he actually cant watch subbed cuz of the japanese language so its not that he doesnt want to watch subbed and only dubbed but that he cant so dubbed is needed more than u think along with ppl who cant read and stuff. :)
I loved Toriko myself so if the anime was considered crap I'd love it even more if it was done right. I don't read manga myself though.
You should. If you loved the idea of the anime and the way the world worked, you should absolutely read the manga. The manga doesn't screw up, keeps the realistic, brutal quality and the Gourmet World saga is absolutely marvelous, the world is explained, the lore is deepened, so many mysteries are solved and even more arise.
