Snake Toad is a limbless amphibian with a snake-like body. It is Zongeh's Soup Dish in his Full Course.
The Snake Toad is a pudgy blue amphibian with a body length of 1.7 meters and can weigh at least 90 kilograms. It has a large, round toad-like head with a big drooling mouth while its pudgy body has no visible limbs, making it resemble that of a snake's and it has very large, bulging, yellow eyes with slit pupils. Its also has numerous tiny bumps or spikes on it head, small sharp teeth and a long slobbery red tongue.
It appears to be a very dull creature and does not appear to be very cautions, approaching humans without concern, however it will do so rather dully.
Powers and AbilitiesEdit
It is a considerably weak and slow creature and can easily be taken out by a professional bishokuya with a single punch.
Its liver is considered a delicacy and can be made into a fine soup that is a common and easy to acquire dish in most restaurants. The Snake Toad itself can be roasted over an open fire if out in the wilderness. When pickled in liquor, it makes a popular alcoholic drink. Whether one prefers to eat it or drink it, the Snake Toad is a great pick me up. Just 100 grams of its meat can fetch a price of 3,600 yen.
Galala Gator ArcEdit
After Toriko and Komatsu arrived at the Baron Archipelago, they immediately began trekking through the forests of the Baron Bog, however a Snake Toad soon appeared behind Komatsu and moved towards him which greatly spooked him, luckily Toriko easily took it out with a single punch. Toriko then commented that it was just a Snake Toad and nothing to get worked up over, but Komatsu then comments that he's cooked many in his kitchen but it is the first one he's ever seen alive.
Later that night, they cooked the Snake Toad over an open fire which attracted several hungry wild beasts. Toriko then threw some of the Snake Toad's meat at them so they could survive.
Puffer Whale ArcEdit
The Snake Toad is briefly mentioned by Zongeh's followers while they were showing off Zongeh's Full Course Menu where they revealed it was his soup dish. However, Komatsu was unimpressed as many of the ingredients on the menu, including the Snake Toad are quite common dishes.
Anime and Manga DifferencesEdit
- In the Toriko Jump Special, the Snake Toad's color scheme is green skin with blue eyes rather than blue skin with yellow eyes.
- In Toei's anime, the Snake Toad's scene is completely removed, and only the brief scene of it being cooked is adapted from the manga.
