Pork Potatoes (ポークポテト Pōkupoteto) crop up wherever the soil has enough nutrients, and they look and taste like pork. They're starchier than regular potatoes, so it's necessary to soak them for long hours before cooking. Pork Potato fat melts off easily, and they're delicious with just a sprinkle of salt and pepper. All that boiling yields a delicious broth too. It was one of the many ingredients used by Komatsu when he was recreating the Century Soup, although it is not known if this ingredient made it into the final version of the soup.
Trivia[]
