Personality[]

Not much is known about him, except that he seems humble and doesn't talk a lot.

Powers and Abilities[]

Manan has the title "Gourmet Magician", which suggests that he actually is a magician skilled in illusions and magic tricks. A possible example of his powers seen is that he could fill a glass over the top with liquid without it spilling over. He can also hear Melk the First's voice, showing that he has exceptional hearing abilities.

A testament to his physical power is the fact that he is a member of the 0th Biotope and he is capable of entering Gourmet World.

History[]

Bubble Fruit Arc[]

Manan is called to a meeting by Ichiryu in the Gourmet World. He asks him what is the main issue of the Bishokukai is. He interprets what Melk the First is saying because nobody else can hear him.[1]

Cooking Festival Arc[]

Manan appears alongside Yosaku in Sector G, Gourmet Garden and praises his skills as a Saiseiya. Yosaku commented on how it will be hard to revive EARTH but is surprised that the day has ‘finally’ come. Kaitora, Mamymaron, Faram, and some Nitros stand in their way. Manan then watches as Yosaku says he would like to ask Kaitora something only he knows.[2]

ANOTHER Arc[]

When Sunny and Livebearer reached Area 4's civilization, they met Manan and Yosaku, who had fully revived EARTH.[3]

Trivia[]

  • His name has numerous meanings across different cultures and languages but mainly has Gaelic roots. It normally means "new beginning" or "opportunity" and can also represent a positive feeling towards new opportunities.
  • The trick of filling a glass of water to the point of forming a "tower" of unspilt liquid was first described in the famous chinese classic "Journey to the West", where a character uses a similar magic trick to make a whole palace of wine.
