Kelp Steak is a type of kelp that has a texture and rich taste similar to steak. It can only be eaten after letting it soak in water for about a week and then be put on fire. It makes an excellent soup stock ingredient. It was one of the many ingredients used by Komatsu when he was recreating the Century Soup, although it is not known if this ingredient made it into the final version of the soup.
