A Giga Horse (ギガホース Gigahōsu) is a titanic equine beast that even towers over mountains. Two are used to pull the giant Gourmet Carriage on its two-year trip around the world.
Anatomy[]
It is a breed of gigantic horse that can grow to 800 meters in height and 1000 meters in length, making them almost as big as a Regal Mammoth, the largest creature in the Human World. Only two Giga Horses have been seen so far and both have brilliant white coats and blonde manes; however, it is unknown if there are alternate colored breeds. The Giga Horses that pull the Gourmet Carriage are outfitted with giant elaborately-designed harnesses that gives them a classy appearance.
Behavior[]
Despite their large size, they can still be tamed through unknown methods and maintain a calm and passive behavior around humans and other creatures that show them no threat.
Uses[]
Giga Horses are used to pull gigantic vessels and carriers as their giant size and strength make them ideal for the role. Their meat is not a preferred food item and thus they have no value as a foodstuff.
Powers and Abilities[]
For being so large, they eat relatively little and can stay active for long periods of time on minimal water and food. That makes them the ideal creatures to pull the Gourmet Carriage over a merciless route like World Connect. When confronted by enemies, Giga Horses' strength, size, and speed allow them to easily flee from confrontations. They are capable of swimming, allowing for travel both on land and in water, and able to walk through water 1000-meters deep. Their large size and power also make them excellent protectors for the carriage. While strong, their high capture level of 64 may also be due to their notable rarity in the wild.
History[]
Mellow Cola Arc[]
Toriko, Coco, Sunny, and Komatsu board a Gourmet Carriage in order to reach their training destinations. When they arrive, Komatsu is amazed by the sheer size of the Giga Horses. Throughout the trip, the Giga Horses are seen treading through numerous environments, enduring blizzards with ease, traveling across the water, and even traversing through a valley of giant flora larger than the horses.
Anime and Manga Differences[]
- In the anime, the Giga Horses are shown with white coats, but in the manga, their coats have an obviously darker color scheme.

- The Phantom Beast Heracs are gigantic horses that can be around the same size or larger than the Giga Horse. It is unknown if the two species are related.
