Synopsis

Komatsu must find the courage to stand up to Zebra and tell the truth about who he wants to be his partner. Later, the horrifying identity of the mysterious monster from the Gourmet Pyramid is finally revealed!

Summary

Toriko was shocked to hear about the combo, and Komatsu explained it was Zebra’s last condition, as Zebra thought they’d make the ultimate combo. Komatsu inquired about Zebra’s Full Course Menu first, and was surprised Zebra didn’t have any, demanding a full Menu if they were to form a combo, as the reason he formed one with Toriko was his desire to cook Toriko’s Menu his own way. Thus, after adding the Cola to his Menu, Zebra asked to form a combo. With the Drink alone, Komatsu refused the offer, and reassured Toriko that he agreed only because he knew Toriko’s Menu won’t lose to anyone’s. Zebra decided to let him off the hook, and asked they hurry back for the party. Using the liquid case, they gathered the Cola, and ran back to the town in Sand Garden, where they had a feast with the townspeople as thanks for renting them camels.

Finally, after a month, they arrived at Hotel Gourmet to have their party. Toriko finally explained that Zebra’s been a fan of Komatsu’s cooking, and accuses Komatsu of cockiness to hide his embarrassment. Their party depleted the neighboring restaurant stores, and after finishing, Zebra asked the Nitro be served. Mansam entered the hall saying he’ll take care of the beast, along with Rei and Rapp, introducing them as members of the 0th Biotope, located in Gourmet World, and run by Ichiryu, gathering the strongest of civilians like Melk and Yosaku, independent of the IGO. When Mansam replied that they came only to investigate, Zebra knew they were hiding something due to Mansam’s blood pressure sound change.

With no way around it, Mansam explained; with its name derived by Acacia from the Nitroglycerin’s explosive nature, the Nitro are highly intelligent gourmand (books and murals) creatures of unknown origin dating back millions of years who awaken from their Cryptobiosis state (thousand-years dehydration slumber) when exposed to water, which Komatsu caused. The Pyramid may be remains of their civilization, as another Nitro was spotted after they left. The Bishokukai are involved because the Nitro knew the way to obtaining GOD, hence the GT-Robo’s appearance. With the Nitro and Bishokukai on the move, the Gourmet Solar Eclipse was approaching, and with it another Gourmet War. Toriko replied: “If we get GOD, we just need to share it with everyone to stop the war... I’ll make sure that happens.”
