Atashino (アタシノ, Atashino), known as the Gourmet Surgeon (グルメ外科医, Gurume Gekai), is a skilled doctor and chef and is a member of the 0th Biotope.

She currently resides in the Hex Food World after her and her comrades were defeated by the Gourmet Corp. and NEO. She is also acting as the personal doctor of the Daruma Hermit.

Appearance

She is a young pale-skinned woman of average height with long black hair and a curvy figure. She is normally seen wearing a pink-colored surgeon's attire even while in the Gourmet World, which includes a surgical mask and cap. She also wears a stethoscope around her neck. After the timeskip, she is seen using a bandage on the leftmost part of her face that covers her right eye.

Personality

Not much is known about her yet personality although she appears to be completely loyal to Ichiryu and was the only 0th Biotope member other than Melk the First allowed to come with him to see his new knife proving the president's trust in her.

Powers and Abilities

Being a member of the 0th Biotope, Atashino can easily enter the Gourmet World and survive in its harsh terrain and fend off the beasts that dwell within it. She is also one of the strongest Gourmet Hunters in the Human World as she showed no hesitation or worry with the idea of fighting creatures with capture levels around 400, showing that she is a very powerful physical fighter. Since she is a Gourmet Surgeon, she probably has high skills in the medical field.

Equipment

Atashino wields a large umbrella in battle which she also used to cover herself from the rain in Slow Rain Hills.

Chef skills

Ichiryu believes her to be the only person capable of preparing the drink ATOM of Acacia's Full Course Menu, showing that her cooking abilities are of the highest grade.

Surgical Skills

She is a Gourmet Surgeon with medical expertise. She is able to cure any illness or wound with her single kitchen knife.

History

Bubble Fruit Arc

She is called to a meeting by Ichiryu in the Gourmet World. Ichiryu asks her to prepare the drink, ATOM of Acacia's Full Course Menu.

Four Beast Arc

She is seen again with Ichiryu and Melk the First at Slow Rain Hills. She tells Ichiryu that the Human World has calmed down because of the Four Heavenly Kings defeating the Four Beast.

Cooking Festival Arc

In a flashback, Atashino, Ichiryu and Melk the First are seen in the Slow Rain Hills whilst attempting to get AIR, Acacia's salad. The IGO president comments that the other members of the 0th Biotope should already be near their destinations. Shortly after, however, Midora arrives riding his beast, a massive eight-legged tiger. Ichiryu wonders if they can have a calm chat instead of fighting, but the Gourmet Corp. Boss refuses. With the refusal of the Gourmet Corp. Boss, two beasts -  a Rampage and a Tornadragon - appear from behind Midora. Atashino gives warning to Ichiryu in regards to the beast and Ichiryu says that he will leave the beasts to the her and Melk the First. As Atashino and Melk the First prepare to fight, Ichiryu and Midora relocate to the skies.

AIR Arc

After the timeskip, Atashino is shown to be alive and well, in the Hex Food World alongside Melk the First, where she has been taking care of the Daruma Hermit under his failing health condition. Much to Brunch's insistence for the hermit to make up his mind to live or die, the Gourmet Surgeon appears before the chef and reveals that the elder is just excited for peeking into the Kappa’s female bath. Later when Melk the First was explaining their strategy to capture AIR, Atashino explains that the Four Heavenly Kings are divided into four groups as it minimizes the risk of them dying all at once in case of any mishap as when the Gourmet World enters 'Night', the environment becomes too harsh and the wild beasts grow stronger and even she and the members of the 0th Biotope cannot be too careless. She further tells them about the geography of Area 8 where the Heavy Rain Region is a wasteland where torrential rains fall and not an ocean as depicted in the map. She also wished that there were 10 or 20 teams but since there are only four of the Heavenly Kings, they have to make do with four teams.

Later Atashino takes the Daruma Hermit for a walk to the Atmosphere Garden as the region contained high levels of oxygen optimal for the Hermit's recovery as some of his symptoms showed altitude sickness. The Hermit then reveals some information related to the Horse King, AIR and the continent's unique climate. As the Hermit laments on the fact that they have to sacrifice villagers to be used as fertilizers in order to grow Air Trees to keep Heracles happy, Melk speaks up in support of Toriko and Komatsu. When the artisan responds to the Hermits inquiry about Melk's faith in the Combo, the answer is inaudible, as Atashimo realizes that the knife sharpeners Amplifier Stone has come loose.
